Amna inspects the New Valley Pavilion in Sharm el-Sheikh Green Zone

Major General Hisham Amna, Minister of Local Development, accompanied by Major General Mohamed Zamlot, Governor of the New Valley, inspected this evening the New Valley Pavilion in the Green Zone of Sharm el-Sheikh, on the sidelines of his participation in the activities of the COP27 climate conference.
Major General Hisham Amna praised the contributions made by the New Valley Governorate in the field of environmental conservation, good exploitation of natural and environmental resources, providing a role model in addressing climate change, expanding initiatives to shift towards clean energy and increasing the green area.
The tour of the Minister of Local Development included inspecting and following up the executive position of the initiatives it implements, including the initiative of the President of the Republic to plant 2.5 million palms in the New Valley, where one million palms were implemented as an initial stage, and the position of the initiative of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to plant 100 million trees in the governorates, as well as the initiative of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly to plant 1000 acres for silk production and 500 acres were planted.
The Minister of Local Development also listened to the details of the victory of the city of Kharga and its selection as the capital of the Arab environment in 2022, and Major General Hisham Amna inspected part of the heritage and reserves that characterize the New Valley Governorate.
