The Ministry of Local Development (MLD) was established in 1999 as a governmental entity appointed to initiate sustainable projects across all 27 Egyptian governorates.
The Ministry of Local Development is currently supporting incentives and initiating projects in efforts to allow for decentralization of each governorate. The accelerated development program put together by the Minister and his team is based on aims to raise the citizens’ standard of living; socially, economically and educationally.
The development program is based on three main axes working in parallel:
